George Gilles is a Tattoo Artist and Painter based in Adelaide, South Australia. Her career as a tattoo artist began when she entered her apprenticeship at Sashiko Tattoo. Having some of the best tattoo artists Australia has to offer as mentors meant that she was able to fully immerse herself in the technicalities and education of the craft. Her love for illustrative neotraditional  tattoos comes from admiring art nouveau architecture and paintings. The flourishes, detail and imagery from this time period are channelled into her tattoos.  The Gilded Goblin was created  in 2023 as a celebration of all things antique and beautiful, a safe space where clients can admire the décor at the same time they themselves become art. The Gilded Goblin is located in Adelaide Arcade, Australia's oldest shopping Arcade, built in 1885. 

Although George's painting practice has taken a back seat as she built a name for herself in tattooing, she has now reached a stage where she can devoted more time to painting. Her painting studio is located within The Mill, a multi-artist hub in the CBD. Her work pays homage to  traditions of loose realism still life and portraiture, with focus on high contrast colour pallets and dramatic shadow play.
