Frequently Asked Questions
Pain and Discomfort:
Is it painful?
Short answer… yes. Different areas on the body have different pain levels. If you are new to tattooing or you are worried about the pain, I would recommend you first try the outer forearm, outer upper or outer calf. Extra spicy spots include elbow/knee ditches, chest, stomach and back. To ease the pain start moisturising your skin a week in advance, do not drink alcohol the day before your appointment, be hydrated and well rested.
Can I use numbing cream?
There are certain brands allowed. Numbing cream can negatively effect the tattoo, any numbing cream you chose to wear is done at your own risk.
Pricing and Payment:
How much do tattoos cost?
How long is a piece of string?!… Tattoos will be priced differently depending on size, difficulty, time etc. I do not have an hourly rate. I work in half days or full days. My full day rate is $1100 and my half day rate is $650
Do you charge for consultations?
Nope, they are free:)
How do I pay?
A $200 deposit is required to secure your booking and comes off the total at the end of the day. The remaining payment is made at the beginning of your appointment before we start tattooing. I accept Cash, Bank Transfer and Afterpay (6% surcharge applies)

Health and Safety:
Is it safe to get a tattoo?
Yes! When performed in a clean and professional environment; however, there certain people that should not get tattooed. These include: pregnant or breastfeeding people, individuals with highly compromised immune systems due to chronic illness, chemotherapy or any other related ailment that will effect their body’s capacity to heal safely, individuals on certain medications that effect the blood and skin such as blood thinners, Accutane etc.
What are the risks associated with tattooing?
Nothing is ever completely risk free. Allergic reactions to certain ink pigments can occur. The result of these reactions are usually ink fade/drop out or difficulty healing areas of the tattoo where that pigment is placed. Non-permanent raised ink is common even on tattoos that have been healed for years. This is when certain parts of your tattoo will raise or feel itchy, even if they were fine before. It occurs usually when there is a change in heat and humidity. Baths always make my ink raise! Please click on the link to learn more about raised ink:

Tattoos can also get infected if they are not cared for properly.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
Unfortunately no, our studio is not big enough to accommodate additional people who are not getting tattooed. If you have a disability support worker let us know and we can accommodate them during your appointment.
What are your policies on deposits and cancellations?
All deposits are non-refundable. If you need to move your appointment please do so at a minimum of 72 hours before you appointment in order to keep your deposit. Any closer to the appointment and you will forfeit you deposit and will need to pay a new one to re-book.
What should I do before my appointment? And what should I bring on the day?
A week before your appointment start moisturizing the area, keep in out of the sun and don’t get any bruises or cuts. Remove any fake tan. Don’t drink alcohol the night before, be super hydrated and have a good nights sleep. On the day bring headphones, comfy loose clothes, snacks/drinks and any forms of entertainment ie book, iPad. Please dress appropriately for the area you are getting tattooed. For example long heavy pants aren’t the best if I need to tattoo you thigh. A dressing gown or button down top are the best for chest and back pieces.
